Teledyne strengthens its position as the number one independent multi-product MEMS foundry in the world
“Micralyne’s technology, processes, and strong product development pipeline ideally complement Teledyne’s state of the art 200 mm (8 inch) manufacturing capability and expertise”Already a market leader in MEMS technology, Teledyne’s DALSA’s Bromont foundry grew by over 20% with the expansion of its 200mm MEMS production line in 2019. That same year, Teledyne’s clean room space made another 40% jump with the acquisition of Micralyne. Their decades of experience, extensive process portfolio, along with rigorous product and process IP protection, make Teledyne DALSA and Teledyne Micralyne the obvious choice in MEMS manufacturing.
The Teledyne MEMS group now boasts two 150mm production lines, the expanded 200mm line, new material capabilities, and new processes. Teledyne will continue to grow to support the increasing demand for MEMS products. “The combination of the Bromont and Edmonton pure-play foundries allow two formerly independent foundries to collaborate on best practices and brings an additional 250 years of development experience to Teledyne,” commented Claude Jean, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Teledyne MEMS.
Building on a strong base of leading-edge customers across all markets, Teledyne MEMS group provides experience-based solutions for MEMS development, prototyping, and volume manufacturing to high growth markets.
Teledyne MEMS (formerly Micralyne Inc.) is part of the Teledyne Imaging Group and is one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of MEMS and micro-fabricated products. Teledyne Micralyne is a key provider of MEMS sensors and other microstructures that differentiate exciting applications such as IoT devices, medical technologies and optical communications.
